Are you an action sports athlete or team member? Do you want to know how to use strategic messaging and sound bites to share your story to engage more sponsors and fans in your efforts? This training -- through both lecture and participant exercises -- will provide you with insights on how to articulate key messages consistently to engage current and potential supporters. While race/event results are always important, if you correctly and consistently use messaging you will gain more exposure, no matter where you finish.
During this workshop, you will also learn what journalists and sponsors want to know from athletes. At the conclusion of the training, you'll leave with your own list of key messages to use during interviews, autograph signings, events, press releases and sponsorship pitches. You will also receive a public relations toolkit at the conclusion.
The training will be led by Bryan Peckinpaugh, who possesses more than 12 years of media relations experience and mainstream media training, along with four years of delivering successful public relations for action sports clients.
Athletes, team managers, mechanics, family members and agents are welcome. The workshop will be held the day before the Red Bud round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship. |
